CRUCIFIED THE FLESH
Walk In The Spirit
Can we believe that the Holy Spirit will cause the following to happen with us, namely…
And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
The “flesh” that I live with is often like a horse-drawn buggy where the horses have gone out-of-control. No matter what I yell nor how I handle the reins, the horses have-a-mind-of-their-own, and listen to nothing that I desire. You, too, huh?
But did you not know, dear man, dear woman…that you cannot sway your mind, your fears, your lusts by your puny controlling power?! No! Who is the buggy-driver to control two massively powerful horses? Who are you to control the evil-spirit driven flesh/mind/emotions you have?
BUT, but, but…welcome the Holy Ghost to sit with you, and He, like Jesus, has the power to calm even the raging seas.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit, even right now!
Amen.

SUBJECT: Holy Spirit
BIBLE VERSE: I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. (Matthew 3:11-12)
COMMENT: The forerunner of Jesus, (namely, John the Baptizer), preached repentance from sins, and he baptized people as a public testimony that they wanted to live for the Lord. But John knew that the Lord Himself, who is Jesus Christ of Nazareth, would soon bring the Holy Ghost of God to thoroughly clean, purify, and energize God's people.
PRAYER: Thank You, Lord, for Your disciple, John. I want to see You, Jesus, in much the same way he did. And I thank You, Jesus, that You have indeed baptized me with the Holy Ghost. Amen.
